Peter Bondra working out

Via The Third Man In comes news from the Washington City Paper that Peter Bondra is working out with Caps players in the Washington area, apparently hoping for another shot at the NHL.

Fer the luvva, Peter, just retire. You’re my favorite NHL player, and I’m happy you came back last season and made it to 500 goals. It would have seemed wrong if that hadn’t happened. But the rest of last season with the ‘Hawks was, frankly, rather sad. Maybe it’s selfish on my part, but I don’t want my sharpest memories of my favorite player being a part-time player who just can’t seem to keep up anymore. It’s time to go.
