From Puck-Rakers, we learn about Pascal Leclaire going to guest lecture in a French class at OSU. Which brings back memories of my senior year in high school, when we read in the paper that Cincinnati Cyclones center Steve Cadieux had similarly visited a French class at some local high school. A couple friends and I spent the rest of the year begging our teacher to set up a guest lecture for our class. Which Mme. Flynn always rejected, for the totally silly reason that the class was French Literature AP, and unless M. Cadieux had something to contribute to the analysis of Manon Lescaut, he had nothing of value to contribute to our educational experience.
Well, except that he was 21 and TEH HAWT (only we didn’t spell it that way in 1990)! Duh!

(er, trust me here…these blurry pictures of pictures do no justice)
We never did convince her. I smoked that French AP exam, though.

You’d think she wouldn’t have minded a break from her class plan. Damn that Walnut devotion to education!
