Surgery on his injured ankle. I think we all saw the writing on the wall when the Jackets claimed Dubielewicz off waivers last week.
The interesting question is what happens in the off-season. With the ahead-of-schedule emergence of Steve Mason, Leclaire has become a pretty expensive backup. Do the Jackets go ahead and trade him? Would teams be willing to give up much in return, given his history of injury, and his poor play this season? And what if Mason experiences a sophomore slump? Are the Jackets confident enough in him to go ahead and part with Leclaire?
