Jim Clark on his way out

Per Lindsay Kramer:

Blue Jackets assistant general manager Jim Clark is on his way out of Columbus. Before he leaves, he’ll spend several months in Syracuse.

Clark, the man in charge of the Crunch roster, said he will come to Syracuse in September and live here through the season. Previously, he was based in Columbus and stopped by here every now and then.

Clark described the move as something of a demotion, part of a shakeup that started when Scott Howson replaced Doug MacLean as GM. Clark has a year left on his deal with Columbus. He said he’s been told when the year is up, he’ll be let go.

This isn’t especially surprising, that Howson would want to get rid of the MacLean hires and bring in his own people. Just surprised we hadn’t heard about it sooner.
